USGBC Office Project

Is a member-based, non-profit organization where passionate, practical, and informed advocates work together to transform Southern California into a more sustainable region for all. Their mission is to leverage the built environment as the entry point to transform Southern California into a more sustainable region for all through equitable and inclusive access to knowledge, technology, resources, and networking. Some examples include building climate resilience, investing in our communities, supporting corporate sustainability, fostering learning and collaborations, and promoting healthy buildings.

With the Organization expanding, USGBC-LA will need to relocate to a larger office to accommodate the new and larger demands of the nonprofit. Surrounded by ample amounts of natural daylight, the new sustainable design will embody the organization’s core values. The design’s organic shapes and earth tones of a soothing deep blue-green and warming terracotta orange will set the tone for a positive work environment. Individual workstations will be provided to staff but will be adjacent to collaborative areas. Touches of nature throughout the space will enhance air quality and minimize noise levels. The modern approach allows the staff to focus their minds and boost productivity. A variety of textures in textiles will complete the elemental design. The goal of this design concept is to create a space that will provide an innovative work atmosphere for the non-profit’s exceeding amount of dedication to the community.
